I did a new blog on Dragon Con last night stating that as of today, we are three weeks out from the convention.  I also gave an update what I have been doing.  I also created a convention playlist all about my blogs.

Please be sure to check these out

1.My latest Vlog

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjRiXCMqkcTPy-mVacTXAmbV65iiIG_lW

I am still looking for people to interview for the show.

What would you like to see me cover this year without bother the major panelists?

While I got my badge within ten minutes of the guest/VIP line opening at 2:30 this year, I have heard stories of people who had to stand in line longer than their friends in the pre-reg and buy on site lines. I was wondering if the bar-code system will be implemented for Eternal's (and guests) in 2012. I am willing to help to make it happen I live in Atlanta and while I do not drive I can find a way to get to where ever I need to be to help I am not a techie I am willing to do what I can.

Wow Eternal Memberships are up a thousand dollars they are now $2000 each. I guess they really are wanting to get rid of eternal memberships as a previous poster had mentioned. EEEEEEEEK we had actually decided to bite the bullet and buy a couple even though they had went crazy and bumped them up 50% since december 2010 to $1500 but now with the 100% price increase in less than a year there is no way we can justify $4000 for 2 VIPs thats crazy!!!!

Thank you kindly, sir!  Our three arrived yesterday, and are now in the SACRED LOCKBOX.

The wife and I have been thinking of buying eternal memberships since leaving DC2010, now that our credit card debt is down to near nothing, I checked the price at the DC store.  Price is now $1500.00.  I could have sworn it was $1000.00 just a short while ago. Am I right, or was it always $1500.00?

I realize that in the long run, It's a great deal, if we constantly go to D*C year after year, but still in this market, going from a $2000 expense to a $3000 is going to feel painful.

I just got an eternal membership to Con and was wondering if I can still volunteer friends of mine have said that they were not sure if the $20 fee could be taken out of an eternal membership while my logic says it can I just wanted to make sure so I am not surprised when I try.

Post here for registration/badge/hotel needs and transfers.

Allowing hotel room transfer needs here since [livejournal.com profile] dragonconrooms will be shutting down Thursday. Despite that, crosspost your hotel needs there as well.

I've been looking for this on the website and the archives, but can't find it. Can anyone let me know where and when the Eternal Member Green Room Party is on Thursday night? Are we allowed to bring a friend who is not an EM?

They are out in the mail today. If an address change needs to be made, please contact me.

Why did this year's eternal member registration start 30 minutes to 1 hour after onsite and other registrations had already opened.? I  was under the impression that eternals are considered VIPs. Granted our line was not long; but, it is kind of sad that onsite registration opened before the eternal registration line did. This meant that people just walking in off the street were done before our door was even open.

This will be the 3rd year in a row that something has gone wrong in the eternal registration line whether it was computer problems or a delay in registration or other issues.

So basically what i am askin is just what is the benefit of being an eternal????

Has where and when Guest check-in is happening been resolved yet? I can't find it on the website, and there's an early panel (not the Nimoy/Shatner one) my fannish self want to go to Friday morning, and I'm hoping I'll still able to check in when I arrive on Thursday night.

Thanks!

Can Eternal Memeberships be purchased at the con on the first night, i.e., Thursday night, for this year's convention? Or do they have to be purchased beforehand, through the D*C Store at the website? Thanks in advance!

(I checked back through the posts with the eternal tag, but didn't find an answer.)

Hi Everyone-

Chris Ceraolo, Director of VIP Guest Badge Pick Up with a bit of News....

We're now in the SHERATON! Yep, that's right the SHERATON! so, Eternals, go there for your badges.

Also, and everyone who enters the mighty pick up area needs to remember-----

ID is Required. If you don't have your id to pick up your badge, you won't be picking it up. That goes for EVERYONE!

So, as of this post-Sheraton and ID...

Any questions?

So who else is impressed by this lovely little gem showing up in your mailbox today?

I'm so excited. And who'd of thought it would be such a lovely postcard at that? (it's my first, so I'm def impressed!) ;o)

Hand-written calligraphy script, with pure 18 carat gold embossing, on paper aged for 400 years in Grecian water, hand-beaten by young virgins who've recently bathed in pure olive oil. Oh the care and love that was put into making these postcards is unsurpassed indeed! (or I'm just blowing smoke up everybody's butts, and you'll have to pay the $750 price tag to see one for yourself!) ;o)

Seriously though, I am very excited, this is just a reminder of how much closer we are to Dragon*Con time! I'm not seeing a badge number on the card though, is this normal for Eternal Memberships?

Ta ta, see ya in September!!!

I have news. Your postcards are going out in today's mail.

If you have changed your address and have not told us, it will be going to the old address.

It's me again. Thought I'd pop in here to address some questions about eternal memberships. So follow me

1. They are $750 dollars. If you have ordered a membership already but wish to upgrade, call me at the office. This is the only way to get the pro-rate.

2. There is a separate room where the eternals pickup their badges. No waiting in the lovely long lines of registration or pre-registration. Definite plus.

3. In this room, the guests usually pick up their badges at the same time. Please behave, we would like to have these guests back. I am not judging, I have gone fanboy once or twice myself, so I understand the squee factor.

4. In this room there are freebies for the eternals and guests. Please do not get greedy.

5. The night before the convention, there is a small get together for the eternals and guests in the Guest Hospitality suite. Only an eternal badge gets you into the party, and only you. This is the only night that any member can get in this room. After that, you're in the con suite.

6. After purchasing an eternal, you no longer have to purchase a membership from us. All we ask is you contact us with address changes, or badge name changes after this.

7. The badges are non-transferable. If you are unavailable to attend, we will send you the badge, and a program book(if you ask for it) after the show.

Next post, general membership questions answered. You will not believe some of the questions I have gotten.

I am hoping I can afford to get an Eternal Membership this year, but I am not sure yet if I can.  Therefore, I was wondering if I went ahead and pre-registered at the current rate, would that amount be counted toward the $750 of the Eternal if I can purchase that after all?  Or would I have to pay the full $750 even after pre-registering?  I need to know because I would like to get my registration in ASAP, but don't want to pay more than I need to if the Eternal Membership works out.

Thanks!
