Hi. I bought 6 photos from Froggy'sPhotos, and with each of these I bought a jpeg. 5 of my 6 jpegs have been put up on their flickr. The one I am missing is with the Phelps brothers on Sunday afternoon. For most of our pics, we bought them online so I have the emails confirming the jpeg. We bought the Phelps photo at Dragoncon on Saturday afternoon. I know that the man asked us if we wanted the jpeg, and we said yes and paid the extra money for it. Unfortunately, I do not have the receipt - it got lost sometime over the weekend.
Froggy's flckr has not been updated at all in several days, so they do not seem to be posting anymore photos. Since email is the only form of communication they give you access to, I sent them an email last week asking about my missing jpeg. I haven't heard any response (which I know is typical). Since I paid for this jpeg, I would like to have it. Does anyone here have any experience with a similar situation or has been able to get a response? I would appreciate any info/advice you can give me. Thanks! :)

Date: 2010-09-30 04:52 pm (UTC)Hell, the first words I said to my girlfriend (who had bought me the photo op with Scott Bakula for my birthday) when I walked "off stage" were: "Thank you so much for this. And please never give any money to these people again."

Date: 2010-09-30 08:30 pm (UTC)after the process, i will definitely have to rethink this next year. through a series of unexpected events, we ended up being late to one of our photos. i didn't expect my money back, but i was hoping that i could change to a different photo. i mean, i did pay a large amount of money for a service i didn't get. of course, we weren't able to. i know this is their policy, but i still think it sucks. lol.
i don't think a newbie can fully understand the "froggy's experience" from just reading about it - i think you need to actually go through to understand how insane/rude/etc it is. ;)
i guess losing that original $40 makes me more annoyed i paid for a non-existent jpeg. anyway, i still have heard nothing from them. i guess i will have to start a weekly writing campaign like alex10819.
Then I've been lucky...

One does have to take into consideration that Froggy's Photos attends many conventions all over the country taking thousands of photo ops with hundreds of celebrities, so I'm sure at times he and his assistants are overwhelmed.
I will have to admit I was completely surprised to see nearly ALL of his photo ops taken at this years DragonCon posted on Flickr. I'm sure that probably irked those who purchased the jpeg's, but myself, I've always just purchased the 8x10, took it home, scanned it and made my own copies.
