Holiday Inn Atlanta (Andrew Young) = Worst Hotel Evar

We stayed at the Holiday Inn on Andrew Young International, which was a tiny hike from the host hotels.

In our three-day experience, we had unsanitary conditions, a shortage of towels, a shortage of respect, and were treated with a generally un-Southern attitude, as though we were idiots. As Dragon*Con veterans, we highly recommend never staying at the Holiday Inn. They do not recognize that there might be multiple guests in the room, and for the clogged sink and lack of towels we had to deal with for close to twelve (12) hours, we were given a wonderful $40 off our parking (or we could have received a generous offer of free breakfast, which most hotels offer anyways).

I would rather stay at the roach motel on Piedmont, the gaming room, or in the Claremont Inn, than stay here.

Certain D*C Senior and Track Directors have been granted posting preapproval. All know that this is a privilege and not a right and are subject to having posts yanked and losing the privilege same as anyone else.

Certain posts in the mod queue may be allowed thru as conditions warrant. Any posts in the mod queue that belong under the master posts will be automatically rejected.

Post Con Control Mode will remain in effect until traffic returns to normal offseason levels.

Maybe it is just me

Maybe it is just me, but when I read the post on Va Tech fans = Abusive rednecks and then see how 11Alive reports mockingly on DC, it almost seems as if it 11Alive has the attitude that it is okay to mock people who are different.  If any of the VA fans talked about in the post were watching that report, I can imagine they would laugh and almost feel validated at their behavior.

I feel way creepy for having to do this, but I've had no luck on my own. I am trying to get the last name of a guy that I befriended at con this year.

Nevermind, guys. In the two days this sat in the queue, I asked around and pieced it together myself. Thanks, though!! :)


In the meantime, I DO have another question for the lovely community (delete if this isn't okay, mods!):

Does anybody know where I can get information about the Doctor Horrible group that performs at Dragoncon? I'd love to get in on that action, especially since I'm already a seasoned shadowcaster, but when I went to check about auditions last spring they had already cast everything, and now I can't find any information about it. I know it might be a bit early for this, being the week after con, but I'd take any information you might have. :)
