We all know of people who aren't the best at being social or playing well with others. So post your "con etiquette" list here, or your favorite.

Thank you. I think we need people using the tags more often.

Well, the problem with that, unfortunately, is that while the mod has this on "moderated" status.. all this stuff still makes it through (while I still do not understand)..

and if it's "moderated" (I loosely use that word), you can't add tags until it's posted and out of the moderation queue. So, you can't unless you already know the list of tags and type them in yourself as you make the post.

1) Ask before you Glomp. Some of us get very nervouse when strange people just glomp us because of the character we are.

2) Shut up! If it's obvious that someone doesn't care about you stories, save yourself the embarrassment and sour looks and shut up.

3) Ask before you take a pic. Though a pic of Snape with his finger up his nose, or Edward Cullen adjusting his junk, remember... You don't like pics like that of you.

4) Be curtious of people with disabilities. There is no telling how many times I see someone in a wheelchair trying to get through a hallway and no one will move to let them through.

5) If you are walking in a tight hall and just stop to answer your phone or talk to your friend, I will NOT stop walking and when you give me the evil look for running you over, just remember, you were warned.

:D

2. Do not tackle people! Seriously now, some of you hurt during impact.
3. Ask before you take pictures. So we can move our badges out of frame.
4. Do not use your children as body or road blocks.
5. If you have issues with someone, keep it to yourself and not pass on miss informed information to other people.
6. If someone says "hi", return the gesture.
7. To the dude who flipped me off in the elevator a year ago, I'm watch you!
8. Do not put stuff in the elevator! Like plants, chairs, and ext.
9. Everyone is at con to have fun, so don't be a jerk.
10. Just get along.

Do not lick Patrick Stewart's head, no matter how loudly the voices inside your head demand it.

Strange...the year I was at Dragoncon on crutches, I actually found people to be very courteous - to the point where I was uncomfortable. I'd walk up to the elevator and attempt to wait just like everybody else, and was shoved into them before I was ready...stuff like that.

If you are at a panel, please, for the love of all that is holy, do NOT ask the panel guest for an autograph or hug. It is a complete waste of time and the guests generally don't want to do it. If you do choose this route, be prepared to be booed.

Or ask about slash fan fiction. Please, for all that is holy, wait until you get their autograph. Especially if it's real people.

Continuing the "if you are at a panel" line of thought:

If you are at a panel and wearing: large wings, a giant hat/headdress/otherwise, a huge skirt or ridiculously spiky armor, please find yourself a quiet corner out of the way or at least take off the largest bits of your outfit.  I HATE it when someone with giant costume bits sits in the front of the room, seemingly oblivious of the fact that they have taken up half the seats in the row and blocked everyone else's view.

At least once every 24 hours: go to your hotel room, go into the bathroom, take off all your clothes, turn on the shower, get into the shower, lather yourself up using the soap conveniently provided by the hotel, wash your hair with the shampoo conveniently provided by the hotel, rinse off all the soap, turn off the water, get out of the shower, dry yourself off completely, put on clean clothes, and (preferably) put on antiperspirant/deodorant before leaving the room again.

On a related note, despite the advertising, spraying yourself down with Axe from head to toe does NOT substitute for the previous paragraph. It just leaves everyone around you unable to breathe.
