Costume Maker/Sewing recommendations?

It's 85 days to Con and I realize I'm never going to be able to do all the sewing I need to get done. I expected to be able to turn to Etsy's Alchemy and place some orders but it doesn't exist any more. :_( Can anyone recommend a vendor/costume maker/sewing expert who can help? I'd supply the fabric and patterns (already bought 'em) and pay for the labor. Thanks!

What geographic location are you in? I know a number of seamstresses, but it would probably be easier to work with someone near where you live...

I'm in the MD/DC/VA area, nearest to Northern VA, I guess. I'm willing to work through the mail with mock ups though, if that's how it work out.

Yeah, that feature on Etsy is "being refurbished" which probably means they're going to just "forget" to ever bring it back. I was hoping to use it to get D*C costume parts myself!

Contact Kortni with Dramagirl Designs. She is in Atlanta which will be a bit more mailing in the beginning but may work out better for you in the end as she could bring stuff to you at Con instead o you having to pack/travel with it.She is also a con regular and fellow geek so your money will be staying in the family (after a fashion). :-)

The next two things on my list are

I have more than a few circle skirts but I've never used a pattern for them, so I couldn't really send them out right away. I also need to get to a couple of corsets (one from a vintage embroidered shirt and another from plain fabric) but I figure the chances of finding someone who can sew and does corsets is pretty slim.

If you don't mind going to China, I had an excellent experience with http://stores.ebay.com/toprunway I got a 50s style dress, and it fit like a dream. She emailed me three or four times to make sure all measurements were correct, and it was fast and great quality.
