Anybody else having issues communicating with Froggy's Photos?
I emailed them trying to get the status of my .jpg picture files that I paid for, but they have hot replied to my emails.

Date: 2009-09-25 10:49 am (UTC)Unfortunately, it was my first time dealing with them and first impressions make lasting impressions with me. The post by crazeyal hit it on the nail for me. I found them extremely disorganized the entire weekend and unfriendly. And now they're not communicating. That's not a way to do business.

(Notice, I said the "thought of;" my experience getting to see each of them this year was ruined due to the fact that everything was so darn rushed, to which I hold complete blame on the DragonCon staff, the volunteers and the celebrities' handlers.

Date: 2009-09-25 12:01 pm (UTC)srgeis, your comment about Froggy's people being unfriendly reminded me of something. When I went down to the photo-ops on Friday morning, there were security people there who were extremely rude. I don't think they were Froggy's people or DragonCon people. I think they were hotel security or something else, because they kept shrieking that if we didn't start behaving (I'm not sure what they expected us to do), that they'd "shut down" the photo-ops. One guy got right in my face and basically told me to get out. I wonder what the deal was with them.

Date: 2009-09-25 03:12 pm (UTC)I've said this before and I'm not complaining nor am I being petulant about it but my bubble was completely burst after William Shatner squiggled on my Boston Legal dvd set, it took five seconds with no eye contact and a sutble thankyou. I will always enjoy his work, but the distance was obvious.

Date: 2009-09-25 07:49 pm (UTC)This is why I don't even like meeting celebs. My BF makes getting photos/autos his mission at any con we go to but...I figure, they're probably jerks in real life, I like who they are on screen. I don't want the illusion ruined for me.

Date: 2009-09-27 09:57 pm (UTC)Yeah I don't want the illusion ruined either, but Christopher Judge was very nice when I met him, got his autograph and he let me take a picture of him with me at his autograph table.
And about have Shatner, Nimoy, and Stewart all there, yeah it probably caused problems but I will never fogret the Shatner Nimoy panel, ever, EVER.

Shatner + Nimoy + Stewart is GOOD
Date: 2009-09-27 12:14 am (UTC)I greatly disagree. I went to the Nimoy/Shatner panel on Friday and would have loved a chance to meet four captains (Shatner, Nimoy, Steward, Mulgrew). The issues with Froggy (over multiple years) have nothing to do with the number or celebrity of the people they're photographing or who is attending D*C.
Star Trek captains are good. Celebrities are good. If anything, the larger celebrity draw is a sign of how popular (and influential) D*C has become. Now, if everyone could just take an extra shower... ;)
