another weapon question

I have a prop sword for one of my costumes, it's made of wood but it looks pretty realistic. I know that wooden swords should be okay to have but I don't want to get in trouble, if the wrong person thinks it's real. What's the best approach to take for this? I'd rather not have it peace-bonded unless I have to, because I'd like to have it out of the sheath for photos.

The Mighty Boosh Photoshoot/Meetup 2010!

THE MIGHTY BOOSH PHOTOSHOOT/MEETUP COMES BACK TO DRAGON*CON 2010! We will be meeting at 5pm on Friday, Sept 3rd in the MARRIOTT hotel and then traveling together to the GSU campus for the 7pm showing of the Mighty Boosh documentary Journey of the Childmen. Obviously, attending the documentary is optional, but since most of us have reserved tickets and intend on going, it seems natural to head over together. If you haven't reserved tickets yet, make sure you do that in advance. Or if you'd just like to show up for the photoshoot, that's fine too! We'll be taking pictures of Boosh costumes first and hope to leave for the GSU campus around 6pm. One of the costumers attending the photoshoot is a student at GSU and will be leading us to the location. It's within walking distance of the convention and we will be there in time for the 7pm show.

If you'd like to talk more about the photoshoot/meet-up, we have a thread on Cosplay.com. If you have any questions, feel free to ask there or in comments to this post. And while you're at it, feel free to check out pictures from last year's meet-up here or here for an idea of what to expect. We hope to see more people there this year so let us know if you intend to come! Everyone is welcome. Even Howard Moon (although he will be photoshopped out of any pictures).

I’ll be back as a guest (fifth year!) to show my paintings in the Art Show (table 1193), paint whichever bits you’re bold enough to bare (I live in New Orleans, you will NOT surprise me), and I’ll have copies of my book (an illustrated autobiography of making a path in the world with wits & a paintbrush) with me.

In that vein, I’ll be doing a panel Monday afternoon called Turning the Pictures in your Head into a Roof Over it. If you want to turn your passion into a career, maybe I can help get you on that path. Sacred knowledge should be shared!
