Hello everyone!

I know there are lots of Harry Potter costumers out there, but I've yet to see a post about a gathering (besides the obvious Yule Ball).

I'll be bringing my Bellatrix costume and will have either Voldemort or a random deatheater in tow. Anyone interested in meeting up?

Well, it's almost time for the madness to begin again. In one week, we'll be leaving for our trip to Atlanta. If you would like to have your very own leather lanyard, we would be happy to deliver at D*C!

In re-watching the Firefly series, we've added a couple of hundred new sayings to our list (damn you, Whedon!). We don't have them on our website yet, but if you'd like to peruse them, I can email you a copy of my (Excel) spreadsheet. Please shoot a note to info@legendaryleatherworks.com and I'll get it out to you. We also have a ton of sayings from The Guild that we're adding, as well.

As always, custom lanyards are our specialty. If you'd like something from your particular fandom, please let us know! After doing a couple in Klingon, nothing is beyond the pale. ;-)

Please come see us in the Southeastern Browncoats booth, 1001, 1003 & 1005 in the Imperial Ballroom at the Marriott. If you would like to see how the lanyards are actually made, my husband will be doing custom work there all weekend. SEBC has 3 spaces, with a front end-cap this year, so should (hopefully) be easier to find.

See all of you loons next week!

Eeep!

These pertain to two different costumes of mine.

1. I assume toy guns need to have that orange tip? I've checked the LJ archives and the con website and didn't see it specifically addressed. I'd love to paint over the tip for "added realism," but I'd even more love not to get in trouble with security.

2. One of my costumes has a large wood-handle mop as a prop. (Ten points if you can guess the costume!) I will of course be holding it close and not swinging it at people, but I'm wondering if it could still cause any trouble.

Thanks!

I've listed a few things on eBay that might be perfect for completing your fantasy outfit. Fur, dragons, and more! Take a look and bid if you've a mind to!

Has anyone been able to find the American Sci Fi Classics Track on Facebook? I can't find it and I would like to know if there is a Tentative schedule up there for the I Dream Of Jeannie panels.

Thanks!

Hi everyone!

I still have some costume stuff available at the following links in my livejournal - hope you will take a look and find something you like.  Would love to find new homes for these items! :)

All are gently worn unless otherwise stated, prices include USPS priority mail shipping in continental U.S. (if you want overnight/FedEx/UPS, that's extra.) I accept PayPal - if paying with credit card, please add 3% to cover fee.  I have an eBay rating of 100% under this username.

Place: 10th floor Marriott
Place:  Marriott - On the Atrium level (the same level as the Pulse "Sailboat" bar), there is an area right between the doors to the pool and the A601/602 meeting room.

Hi folks,

I'm a long time nerd (I have a huge comic collection), but I've never been to a Con. I'm thinking of making DragonCon this year my first. I'm actually getting married on labor day, so there will be a bunch of people in town visiting, and I was thinking of having some people accompany me to DragonCon on Saturday afternoon/evening. However, I'm having a really hard time figuring what's actually going on at any given time. Is there a comprehensive schedule of the events going on each day and at what times?

Basically what I'm trying to figure out is if it'd really be worth it for us to go at around 5pm just for the evening. Does the Con pick up or die down in the evening? What sorts of things would be going on? Is it worth the $50 if i'm not getting there until late in the day?

Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated! :)

Anyone attending the Heroes panels & the photo ops with Adrian Pasdar-please post photos, videos & reports of the going ons. I'll be working all of Labor Day weekend. I wish I could be there 'truly' meeting him.

FYI, Scott Bakula's photo op on pre-sale at Froggy's is $75. http://froggysphotos.com/dragoncon.html

Damn. That shuts me out. At least it isn't the $200 for 200 people that Patrick Stewart had last year, so more people will be able to get a photo. I wonder what Bakula's autograph will cost.

I told you all I would post anything I learned.   That being said.  I just got off the phoone with Jason, (sorry didn't get a last name) the Hyatt is now accepting reservations for next years DCon, they will work with you on dates.   Yes I know, Dcon PTOB, haven't signed a contrat yet.  The Hyatt is already willing to work with you.    Jason doesn't know if they will use PASSKEY this year.......  So, if you are already of the mindset you are going to attend DC 11 next year, and your want a host hotel (Hyatt)... call now.....

D*C will post it in here as soon as its available; it's preapproved to post so there will be no waiting in the mod queue for it; it'll be posted in here immediately. Links back to it will be added on the sidebar and header of the community when it is posted.

If it's not posted in here, it's not ready nor available yet.

Thanks all.
