What is the process like for Lightspeed Dating? How long does it take? I'd like to hear anyone's experiences if they'd like to share. :)

Hi, I'm Brandy, Director of StarWars programming at DC. Lightspeed Dating is busy! We're letting people register early at www.dclightspeed.org. You get a number that's your's alone. Don't forget it! Then come to Marriott A601-602 around 9:30pm Friday of DC, remember your number & we'll find you a seat. There will be room for MF, FF, & MM. 1 minute to talk to each person, then the outer circle will rotate to the next person. Write down the number of the top10 people you are interested in. If they write down your number as well, you'll both get an email with the other's contact info :)

A (female) friend and I tried this out but we never got in. We stayed outside in a line that was supposedly for a second round that never happened. Still, we ended up talking to a couple of guys in line and while we didn't actually date anyone, it was hilarious. We decided to go to the Pulse bar for drinks. One of the guys was drunk and kinda wandered off in a stupor while we quietly observed (he was dressed as a clown) and the other fell for an anime chick at the bar and abandoned us. OK that doesn't sound hilarious but it was, really.

So what I'm saying is: if you want to do the real thing, sign up like the lady says or you'll end up outside with us "2nd round" weird people. ;-)
