Am I the only one who dislikes the new website? I cannot find anything there.

I am looking for the list of cancellations. I only found out that John Noble cancelled from a comment on FB.

I am getting ready to pre order my photo ops, and I have a problem.

Froggy has Tony Curran listed for sale, but I cannot find Tony on the guest list as of this morning.

Was he scheduled and then cancelled?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I accidentally discovered that cancellations are listed at the very bottom of the alphabetized guest page on the D*C site, although they only keep a name on the cancellation list for a couple of weeks, so there's no complete list of cancellations on the site, as far as I can tell. Thus, to keep up with them, you have to check the site every week or two. Currently, Chris Sarandon is the only cancellation listed. John Noble's name was on the cancellation list a few weeks ago. It was stated on the Trek Track Facebook page that Froggy had jumped the gun and listed some photo ops for celebrities who were in negotiations with D*C, but had not yet been finalized. So, it may be that Tony Curran is a possible guest, if things work out. Froggy removed some photo ops offers the other day for celebrities that are not confirmed.

A week or two ago I saw a request from D*C for input on how fans wanted cancellations to be announced. (I think it was on their Facebook page.) The replies seemed to favor announcements by social media, so I guess they might start using Twitter and Facebook to do it, although they don't really seem to like to publicize cancellations.

They mention them on twitter too sometimes, as well as additions. I don't know if they announce them all there, but it's another source at least.

I definitely agree re: website, seems like they ought to put it in a centralized place. Unfortunately with so many tracks and volunteers it ends up as the old syndrome 'too many cooks in the kitchen' I fear.

Not a fan of the new site, either.

Animation is always annoying (no matter what) and not having the guest list right up front where we can see it sucks. The simple list was much easier to see than the list with all the bios and stuff on it. I've only gone to the new site, like, twice because it just irritates me. I discovered the changes by accident, and yeah...not a fan. I just went now to confirm this and it's still true. The guest list is the biggest issue besides the annoying animation on the home page. I don't want to scroll through pages and pages to see the whole guest list. Tighten it up and put it all on one page with just a simple list of names using columns so we don't have to scroll so much to see the whole thing. We can click on a name if we want the bio, like we used to. Anyway. The old site was much better. Other than the guest list stuff, though, I can live with the new one (I just explored a bit - the fan tracks page is okay, even if I liked the old one better because, again, it was on the basic home page and we didn't have to navigate to it, and all the information is there, just spread out more). It's just ugly and not as user-friendly, but whatever. It works, I guess. Other than the guest list. That sucks hard core.
