I've gone to DC for the past couple of years, but I always feel intimidated, stopping by the WoT track. I've been a fan of the series for about 11 years, but there always seems to be such a tight-knit group at DC that I'd feel kinda like an outsider.

Any advice? ;)

Alot of us know each other from the fansites and from previous cons. Thats probably why we seem to be glommed onto each other so much. None of us are intentionally trying to scare anyone off. If you just come up and introduce yourself, we'll welcome you with open arms. And probably try to recruit you into our fan groups. But in a loving way.

I would suggest that you register at the track site and start posting on those boards there, so that we'll know each other a bit before con starts. And if I see you and recognize you this year, I'll be sure to say hi as well. =)

*chuckles* Perhaps I'll do that. And I used to frequent the boards back in the day, maybe 8 years ago? Something like that.

What sites did you frequent? Eight years is before I got involved in the fandom, but we may have hung around the same people.

I mainly frequented the Prodigy bulletin boards, but I also lurked around RASFWRJ, a little bit.
