I know many people will be thrilled with this news, but the Marriott's non-refundable, non-transferable deposit makes me nervous to stay with them again. I know they're trying to make things easier for themselves, but if I get sick, or a friend schedules a wedding that weekend, or heaven forbid a tragedy strikes and I have to cancel my plans, I'm just out $200? Not cool.

Yeah, I am not OK with the deposit requirement either. I'm still broke from the con in October.
