I have one quick question (actually I have many, but this takes priority). I realized that my driver's license doesn't have my updated address on it (the address I used to buy my ticket). Will this cause a problem? I did print out a "Temporary Internet Change of Address" card from the license center, but the real one to use until it's time to renewal won't be arriving until after I leave for the con.

Thanks!

Generally as long as the picture and the name match the name on the post card you should be fine. My address is not the same as my mailing address and Ive not had an issue over the years. If you need a hand with getting around con let me know. I am a con vet and familiar with the down town area. I lived in downtown, went to school in down town, and work down town.

Have a fun and safe con.

just message me here with some kind of contact info if you need a hand before con. As I dont know if Ill be anywhere near a computer during the weekend. I know you have friends that are going to be there too but its always good to have a back up plan. It works for zombies why not cons too?

My address on my license hasn't matched the address on my postcard ever in the 9 years I've been coming to D*C. I've never had a problem.

Hopefully the D*C office will answer this for you asap!

In the meantime, click on the "first timer" tag for some good posts. I put up two posts each year for D*C tips. Have fun!

They don't care. My address on my ID wasn't my mailing address last year, and it won't be my mailing address this year. They just care that it's you. With the DMV switching to permanent address only instead of permanent or mailing, I'd think cases where the two addresses don't match will only increase. If you don't have a postcard, they may ask what it is in their system, but I'd think that'd be extent of it. In any case, it's not something that couldn't be cleared up if questioned.

Also chiming in to say it's no biggie. I asked that question earlier in the year, because you know I've lived three places this year and my postcard doesn't match, either. Chip himself said no biggie so we're cool. Oh, and? HIIIIIIIIIIIIII MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM! Can't wait to finally meet you in person.

You have my phone number. Text anytime at the con if you need help, get lost, or just want to say hi. Things inevitably get pretty hectic, and promising meet ups is hard, but we need to pin down at least one. Okay. Got to go pack now. There are pieces of costumes all over my floor!

Chiming in to say you'll be a-ok. My license still has my address from two moves ago and I've been to the 'con twice since then.
