Supernatural Guests?

Anyone else curious as to the woeful lack of guests from 'Supernatural'?  So far, only James Marsters.  Last year we had a large portion of the cast, this year, nothing?  What happened?  Did we scare them.  ;-)  Granted, 20 more days so guests could be announced.  We can hope!

They're currently filming season 8 and do 8 days off and 8 days on with filming, so...might get lucky. :)

Well, I know several of them are appearing at the Creation con in Vancouver the weekend before, so they may not want to do back to back cons. Having done the Vancouver con and then DragonCon on back to back weekends myself, I wouldn't blame them if that was the case.

oh yippee, way to go Creation Con. Did they feel a little threatened by the success of Supernatural at DragonCon last year so they had to go and plan one of their overpriced fleecing of the fans weekends the week before DragonCon? I have heard they pull crap like that with smaller conventions (planning a major Creation event the week before or after a smaller themed con), but DragonCon? Yet another reason to never attend a Creation run event. sheesh.

I feel like there's not a lot of overlap between Vancouver and Atlanta... some people travel that far, but not enough that it would be a huge draw...

Last year Misha Collins grabbed my face at a karaoke party.

It has taken me a full year to recover (and, oh yeah, to watch the first six seasons of SPN). This year I'd kind of hoped I'd punk HIM. Woe, woe!

Stupid Creation Con!

Just curious, where was the karaoke party. Was it at DragonCon? Or a Supernatural weekend convention?

It was at Dragon*Con! Someone was having a birthday party or something in the lobby of the Hilton, around 1 a.m. on Sunday night/Monday morning. I have no idea who it was for; my friends and I were walking by and just kind of joined in. Amy Okuda and Robin Thorsen of The Guild showed up and were singing and dancing around, too. Dragon*Con, man. There's no explaining it.

Remember that Creation started the exclusive Supernatural events so the guests are most likely contracted to be with them for their events before any others. It was a bonus for DragonCon to get so many of them last year. I think the main reason for no Supernatural guests this year is because they are doing the Vamp Diaries group instead. Smart move for the show since it's filmed in Atlanta.
