Ernest Borgnine has died at age 95.

He was a guest at Dragon Con 2011.

I saw one of his Q&A sessions, which was thoroughly enjoyable.

Actually, here's someone's YouTube video with me asking Ernest Borgnine a question.

Though he is known for much more prominent roles, I always loved his quieter one in the 1997 sci-fi film, "Gattaca". I got to see it at the AFI Silver two nights in a row a few months ago. I remember being thrilled it was being shown on a big screen as I never was allowed to see it when it was in theaters.

Fare thee well, Ernest!

When I heard he was going to be at D*C, he immediately became my "must see" for the year. I cheerfully paid for a pic with him, and we had a wonderful time doing it - he was funny, outgoing and friendly to us all who were waiting, even with some technical difficulties. I grew up watching his movies with my Grandpa, and I got to tell him that. I'm so glad I got to meet him, and I wish him peace.

I was very sad to hear of his passing. It was a real treat to see him last year.
