I was pretty excited to see Rose McGowan added to the guest list tonight over on Facebook. I did some digging with Google, and found her Autograph & Photo prices along with the Vampire Diaries people.

Date: 2012-06-04 12:47 am (UTC)Dragon*Con is excited to announce the addition of Rose McGowan, perhaps best known for her work in Charmed, Grindhouse, and most recently Conan the Barbarian, to the 2012 guest list. Rose will be appearing Saturday and Sunday, courtesy of Celebrity Authentics.

Date: 2012-06-04 03:19 am (UTC)I like that I can preorder them, because it does kind of suck not knowing how much to save for a certain autograph when you don't know how much they will be once you get to the Walk of Fame. But I dislike that they can sell out. But I guess that's good too, that means the lines won't be so bad? Maybe?
I do worry about ... what if a guest cancels? How do I get my money back? I looked around on their site for that info but couldn't find it.
And, yeah. Autograph prices have gotten ridiculous over the years. Going to Dragon*Con I've seen guests that cost $30-40, that only charge $20-25 at smaller cons! Crazy.
And, are they going to add more guests? Or are the extra guests they were talking about adding the rest of TVD guests and Rose McGowan?

Date: 2012-06-04 03:34 am (UTC)I know I can't be the only one who doesn't spend much time in the Walk of Fame anymore because of the high autograph prices. It used to be so packed with people that I couldn't move. But I remember last year, hardly anyone had a line except for True Blood & Carrie Fisher. And I saw where they put Carrie Fisher in with everyone else in the regular Walk of Fame instead of her own floor like they originally planned. Guess they found out the line wouldn't be as long as they thought at $60 each. Guests would most likely make more money if they charged less, but I'm guessing it has something with how a big a name they are comparing to what others in the room are charging.
The most I ever paid for an autograph (other than the two comics by Stan Lee) was $40 for Billy Dee Williams at the one and only Wizard World Atlanta. I can't imagine anyone (other than Stan) I'd pay more for.
I really respect Michael Rosenbaum last year signing for $20. I got my Justice League animated DVD signed for $10 less than he was charging the last time he came to DragonCon.

A few weeks later they sent me a check of the total cost. You may just have to e-mail them to let them know that you purchase a ticket.
