Disability has heard your request for lots of information about accessibility at the Con in one convenient location.  We have begun a Wiki-style website "Disability Services Guide to Dragon*Con."  It is not yet 100% complete, My staff and I will continue to add information between now and the Con, and ongoing beyond that.  BUT, the basics are there.  Come check us out!  There is a forum attached to the Wiki, but we are looking for something a little more robust.  We'll point you at it when we get that set up.  If you have specific information you need but do not see, let us know.

Liked your 'Secret Ninja' travel tips.

As I've already done two cons on my scooter, thought I might add:

The Westin does have a disablity bathroom that has about 8 steps to go up before you get to it. I don't remember which floor it's on, but the funny thing is that the person who directed me to it was a Westin staff member. Thought you'd like that one. :)

If you have strong arms, electrical, or strong person powered, I've found the easiest way to get to the food court from the Hyatt is taking a path through the skywalks to the Mariott then to the food court - no worries about the silly stair lifts (ok, so I also just enjoy scooting around). To get to the second part of the food court, there is a ramp by the Chick-Fila. I've heard to get to the little section near the entrance to the Marta section, there's supposed to be a hallway that's usually used to store trash - maybe they've cleaned it up by now.

That door at the Hyatt's parking deck was locked the last time I tried to use it. I've heard this has happened quite often the past few years.

By the way, my sister really loved the disabled regsitration last year - she has trouble walking long distances.

That 'accessible' bathroom is on the sixth floor of the Westin (which is the floor where several of the fan track rooms are; it's around the corner from the Alt History Track). I mentioned it two years in a row in my post-con report.

I know the one you mean -- I had a WTF moment when I saw that too. I don't think there are any "accessible" bathrooms on the ballroom level at all, just a few teeny tiny stalls on the opposite side of the floor.

Anyway, thanks, cheriedcds, for setting this up. My roomie's gone on a disability badge the past couple of years and I'm sure she'll appreciate the advice!
