One last time...is anyone willing to share ride from Orlando to Dragon*Con?

It's now two people who've bailed out of the ride. If I can't find some honorable person who'd be willing to take me from Orlando (Thursday the 1st) and bring be back (Monday the 5th), in exchange for shared gas money and perhaps a meal thrown in, I'll have to go by Greyhound. And I'd rather you guys get the money than them.

If none of you can do this, I'll be resigned to getting a Greyhound ticket Tuesday. It'll cost more, and be more uncomfortable, but I need to get there. If you think you might be able to take me, one large suitcase and one smaller bag, please send an IM to me. Thanks!

Probably not helpful, but: if you can be around Macon State University by Thursday at 2:30, we can get you the rest of the way (and similarly back to Macon on Monday, after my 2:30 panel).

Well, hisskeletonkiss, about your only alternative is my last resort, too. Go to www.greyhound.com and buy a bus ticket. I would rather deal with people, but my possibilities are getting limited now. From Orlando, the bus ticket was about $180 round-trip. If I hear nothing by Tuesday that's what I'll have to do.

Thanks, all of you who made legitimate offers. They didn't work out. I guess that was expected, with my original ride running into some personal emergencies. I'm going to take the bus up and back. I'll have to put up with the religious fanatics and psychotics who inhabit busses.

And to the one person whom I shall not name, who refused to be a mensch and be honest and forthcoming, who strung me along, and who played me for a sap, you will be getting karmic adjustment.
