1. A few weeks ago (I think) I saw a post on here concerning where to eat at the Con and someone mentioned a place George Takei (again...I think) had recommended.  Does this ring a bell for anyone? I thinking of eating there Thursday night.

2. Didn't there used to be a shuttle run by the lovely D*Con people taking people from the airport to the hotels? I feel like I've seen people with con related signs waiting by baggage claim advertising a shuttle of sorts.  Are they still offering that?  I get in at 8pm Thursday night and I'm considering different transportation options. Is MARTA a safe option around that time frame?

3. See above re: 8PM arrival. For those of you who are familiar with flying into Atlanta for the con, is there any chance of me making badge pick-up before 10 or should I resign myself to an early wake up Friday morning?

4. Has anyone ever used Hyatt's on-line checkin service before? Since I'm not getting in till late-ish, want to have dinner with some loved ones before the Con begins, and have to deal with the airport for once I'm trying to avoid checking in super late. My boyfriend has a fear of heights and the sooner I can check-in and hopefully snag our requested low-floor room the better. Tips?

You would think after years of coming to this thing I'd be able to answer a lot of this myself but it's my first time ever flying in (I've picked people up at the airport plenty of times though!) and it seems to be throwing me off lol.

2. The only airport shuttle service offered by the con is for guests, sorry. :)

3. You might make it. I'd give it a shot, but be prepared to get up early on Friday.

1. Was Hsu's (http://www.hsus.com/). I think the answer was in response to my "where to go on a date during Con" thread.

4. Not to be a buzz-kill, but unless you can *early* check-in, low-floor rooms at the Hyatt have been historically very hard to come by (personal experience). This is less due to a fear of heights, and more to not wanting to experience the eternal wait for the elevators.

2. I've ridden MARTA many times at night, including once to get back from D*C around 11pm. I've never had any reason to be concerned.

2. I've taken the MARTA at various different times and have never had a problem. Chances are you might still run into other con goers, even at that "late" hour. Band together if you are feeling unsafe.

3. This is iffy. In the past, they've cut the line off before the stated closing time so they could get those in said line out the door some time before midnight. Hopefully the expanded registration hours will cut down on that, but there are no guarantees.

2. Nothing run by the con. There are shuttle buses (that changed companies this year (http://community.livejournal.com/dragoncon/2498341.html)) and run &16.50 to get you from airport to host hotel front door.

3. As others have said, that's really iffy. They may extend the call a bit, or you may just hit a lull in the lines, or they might close off the lines early. Best just to give it a shot but be prepared that you might not make it in time to register that night.
