Ok, that's Adam Savage after Michael Shanks, just when I was beginning to wonder about this years walk of fame.  Now if they will just add Malcolm McDowell (again) and perhaps if we are insanely lucky Segourney Weaver and go on then but I don't want to push my luck Bruce Cambell- oh and last years stargate panel I'm be a happy Droogy.

I'm not impressed with the guest list so far. The last 3 years each had better line-ups than this year's so far....

Sure, we have a FEW highlights, but in previous years we had SEVERAL highlights.

Ditto, the list this year seems sub-par, but I guess you have to have some letdown after last year's mega group. I'm trying to see this as a positive though, and use that extra time to see events I've been meaning to see. Plus, I'll save money on autos/photo ops.

You know, I agree with you but in a way this is not such a bad thing. Last year a lot of money was spent on 'once in a lifetime' opportunities and the best part of a day. I would enjoy a not so crazy walk of fame this year.

I'm ecstatic with this year. Though I focus mostly on Artist Ally and only have the money for one or two celeb autographs. This year I'm really excited to get Luke Perry's autograph on my Jeremiah DVD signed already by JMS. Larry Hagman is really cool too, though I don't know if I can afford another celeb autograph this year. But as a comic book fan, this is going to be the biggest year for comic book fans at DragonCon yet. So many more big name guests than ever before. Artist Ally is going to be the comic con that I always wished Atlanta had. Though most of their comic book guests are confirmed on their facebook page but not yet on the main guest list. Though, if you guys are into celebs, remember there will be a Wizard World Atlanta Comic Con in December. I'm sure they will add a bunch of celebs too. Pam Grier & Leah Gibson on their list so far.

The only person I care to see, ever, is comic artist Chris Bachalo. But I've heard DC isn't nice to comic artists (really?) and he does so VERY few cons.

However, my boyfriend always enjoys the lineup of guests so at least someone's happy. :)

I like Chris Bachalo. Though I preferred his style a bit more on the Death mini-series than on his X-Men comics. Don't know if I ever saw his name on a convention guest list. Met his inker Tim Townsend before. DC probably does treat artists well, it just depends on if you are talking to someone who works at DC or someone at Marvel. They probably left the other company for a reason. No Bachalo yet, but DragonCon is delivering 2 to 3 times more big name comic book guests than ever.

I love his Death and early Generation X stuff, like OMG. But his Cliffhanger book with Joe Kelly, "SteamPunk", was/is my favorite of his.

Way I hear it, Chris is just super busy. He recently did some CD art for Insane Clown Posse (wtf?) and is super backlogged on his commissions list...otherwise, my home would be wallpapered with his work! I think he did a con in Toronto (?) earlier this year and it was madhell for folks trying to get an auto or sketch.

I'd love to see David Boreanaz at the con. The funny thing is, I've never seen him in Buffy, I like him in Bones. XD

Don't count out the mega-guests yet... other years, the list as it is right now was par for the course at this time of the year- it is no match for what it will be in a few weeks... they have NEVER disappointed us yet, in the 11 years we've been going!

He did a free signing in a room next to where some of the authors were signing...only a 1 hr block all weekend. Assembly line style, signature and photo. He was super awesome! (http://twitpic.com/hrq1k) The demand was so high, they had to turn people away from the line...they were smart to get him back and put him on the WOF.

Personally I'm happy with the guest list so far (omgTRUEBLOOD), but I remember the big celebs being added during the summer. I'm curious as to who the big celebs will be this time around (pleasedavidtennantplease).

You've got to remember that it's only the end of April. There are still 3 months left until the con. That's plenty of time to add more guests. A lot of the big stars didn't get added until June or July last year either. =)

See how scary this is. Five months left to the con and it's going to go like lightening. I have not had time to crave it- well.. I have dreamed about it but I have also been so tied up with work and life issues that the weeks sped by.
