Whew, I got a Marriott room. If there's anybody on this site who doesn't already know, you can reserve ONLINE (go to the dragoncon link, it's not the same as the regular Marriott site). That's much quicker than waiting for a telephone reservation person...I was on hold the whole time I was doing it online, and I finished online and hung up without ever having heard from a real person.
Do it now! I'd bet the hotel will be sold out, at least for some nights, within hours.

I got my room (thank god), but I decided to go back just to see if anything was left. By 8:26, rooms were unavailable for those staying Thurs-Mon.

Anybody wanna call Guinness again? :)

Just got off the phone with them because online was only letting people book 3rd through 6th... because of other conventions and events surrounding dragon con, the 1st, 2nd and the night of the 6th are fully booked. So you can only currently book a 3 night stay. But, if you do, you can always check back throughout the year to see if you can extend your stay.

Couldn't even reserve through the Marriott.com site, which I had no problem doing last year.

And I called to complain. They're only taking callbacks.

Heh. Yeah, she is pretty nifty.

I told her I'm willing to suspend my pessimism for her. As in, I believe that good things happen to HER.

So far, evidence has borne me out.
