dragoncon_lj_archive Dear Dragoncon staff and con goers,
I was honored to come back and spin again this year. The time travelers ball was a blast. Though next year a larger room would be so helpful :) It was a lot of fun to play with the Extraordinary Contraptions, the hot Sirens of the South and a truly amazing fashion show. Thank you Cindy and William for asking me to spin.
Friday night later on i got a chance to dance my booty off to Vj Anthony who played a killer set!
Sat night i got to go see my favorite Dj, Dj Nemesis play and i stayed until the sun came up, my feet hurt and my body ached but it was just wonderful and i couldnt stop dancing. i was really truly caught off guard in such a nice way when at the end of his set he gave me two shout outs :) As a dj it is a true compliment to be acknowledged by others in the field that we adore and respect :) i went to sleep with a smile on my face and seriously sore feet.
Sunday night (Monday morning) after Mc Chris was the most amazing night i have ever had as a dj. I saw the crowd that Mc Chris drew and honestly i was nervous, i never get stage fright, but i think i might have had some. i paced back stage listening to MC Chris and talking to nice random staff members waiting to go on. i am lucky to have the friends i do, as a couple of them calmed me down and made me feel very loved. When fette's vette ended and Mc Chris exited the stage, the amazing staff had me on and spinning so fast i couldnt believe it. They had my 80's movies playing on the screen within minutes and my music was on in seconds! What i did not expect was the size of this crowd and the amazing energy that it brought! You guys are one of a kind! For a while i couldnt even look up without being a little overwhelmed by the sheer size of the crowd. Several of my friends came by to let me know that there was a line out the door of people trying to get in. i thought the crowd would thin out as soon as Mc Chris finished, it did not! Watching everyone dance their asses off to 80's music was a total blast! Highlights of the night for me included: having so many people want to dance on stage we ended up with a two song assembly line that my awesome husband and staff members controlled for me :), Rickrolling Thomas Kerns (giggles), getting compliments from many other djs, watching the crowd errupt into a snowstorm as they destroyed the hulks foam tank!, getting compliments from some very cool congoers :), seeing the hot tattooed guy from ghost hunters dancing his ass off! and just in general having a truly memorable night.
I cant tell you guys how much it meant to me to spin at Dragoncon this year! It was an honor! You guys make my life amazing!
And to the sound guys and security staff, i cannot thank you enough for how much you all helped me out. you are all the best there is!

I was on the alternate history staff, but we only got to talk for a brief while.
Anyways, I was so excited to come see your set Sunday night (and actually be awake for it - thank god for hot guys at the Hyatt bar!)
