Video of our experience at 2009 Dragon*Con (YouTube link)
Umm... I hate to sound dumb, but we had BIG problems finding Dragon*Con this past weekend. No panels, no dealer's room, nothing.... just a lot of strange stares, and the stupid food court was closed. Anybody able to explain this to me? We were supposed to be in the parade and everybody is disappointed and confused, which is pretty normal for us, but still... so far all we've seen are a lot of security guards and dumpsters.
We were hoping to hang out with hot girls this year.
Total bummer!!
:(

This is great, and remind me of something I did, though by accident:
Date: 2009-09-01 01:44 pm (UTC)I wandered around Paris for HOURS, consulting my map. There it was, a HUGE outline, right where I should be standing.
Finally I gave up and asked a cabbie in stumbling French: "Ou est la Bastille, s-il vous plait?"
His eyes widened, his mouth twitched, and he pointed outside his window, down at the ground, at the embedded brass outline of the structure that hadn't existed for 200 years.
Um..yeah:)

Date: 2009-09-01 02:49 pm (UTC)We have 2 friends that were so happy they were able to get reservations at The Marriott so easily when every one else was having issues.
With heavy heart I had to inform them they had made them for a week too early.
So it could happen!
