Question about airport transportation

I will be attending Dragoncon for the first time this year.  I was wondering what is the best way to get from the Hartsfield-Jackson International airport, to the Ritz Carlton Hotel, which is where I'll be staying for the con?

I've heard about something called MARTA transport, which picks up at the baggage claim area, and drops off in the Peachtree Center Station, which I'm told is about 2 blocks from the hotel.  Is this a fairly reliable means of transportation?  How long of a trip is it?  Is there plenty of room to store or keep luggage?
