So we have James T. Kirk and Jean Luc Picard attending this year.  Who else wants to see a panel dedicated to answering that age-old question among geeks, who was the better captain?  A panel with the actual actors to play the roles.

My husband and I are attending this con for the first time (And very, very excited). Please forgive me if this is a repeat post, I try to keep up with everything posted but I'm not always the best at it.

He has a pink card. I have the pretty ticketmaster ticket. We bought our memberships at 2 different times, 2 different ways. We intend on arriving at about 1-2 Thursday afternoon. Are these two things 2 different lines? What's procedure for this? Where do we go?

This prevents me from having to be a n00b and ask 20 million people these questions when we get there.

Please help? We would love to do this as painlessly as possible.

One of our guests apparently has a hit music video on deck:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urNyg1ftMIU
is now number one download from iTunes and Amazon.

(and it's really catchy, too)
(and the answer is yes)

Local Atlanta guy suddenly hit with a $200 car-tire replacement bill two weeks before the con. Urgently need to find some way not to have to spend another C-note on a full weekend membership. Anyone got a ducat they can sell/transfer for less than $80? Please email mattleger at earthlink dot net.

Greetings, all.

My mom actually bought my ticket for me for my birthday this year, through ticketmaster, and the paper has her name on it. Does anyone know what, if anything, I'll need to do that the ticket is indeed mine when I get in the registration line? I just don't want to get in line and then them tell me I can't use the ticket because my name's not on it or something. Figured I'd ask.

Thanks,

Dodger.

I am posting this because I am getting the same questions over and over again.

If you bought a membership through Dragon Con, follow these directions.

1. Go to the registration area of the convention, follow the Ticketmaster line
2. Fill out a little white form which will be there for you
3. Hand it to the Ticketmaster booth
4. They will enter the information, which prints you a badge
5. Leave the registration area and have a good time.

Other questions
1.If someone else bought a ticket for you, take the receipt you will fill out the form yourself. It does not matter who bought it for you, as long as its not reported stolen.

2. If you bought for someone else, same thing.

3. The info we need on the little white sheet is the same info on the membership pdf form on the website. You can fill that out and that is all you need to do. DO NOT FAX this to the office. We will just throw it away.

I will bump with more comments later.

My boyfriend and I are going to be flying from NY to ATL for D*C and this year we're going to have three resin guns and a knife as part of our costumes. Does anyone have any tips for traveling with these weapons? They're pretty important parts of our costumes, so we'd be really upset if anything happened to them. Thanks!

I'm looking at the celebrity rates and I find it quite strange, Malcolm McDowell is $40 but James Edward Olmos who I respect as an actor but who has far less in the way of credentials is $60, the same price as his item signatures. James Marsters is also $60 and Mr. Malfoy jr is only $30 .. . .

It's just strange. I don't know if this is the rate their managers charge or if it's a Froggy rate.

Sorry if this has been posted before, I jsut don't understand it.
