Disability Services Question

Does anyone know if there is any special disability seating area for the parade? My father-in-law has a motorized scooter. Should I just tell him to get there early?

Covered Walkways

If i remember correctly, there are a couple elevated walkways over the parade route. The first being over the steepest part of the parade route and the second being the new bridge from the Marriott to the Hilton (last years parade ended at the Marriott's "back" covered car drop off area.

Then of course he can't get in any of the stuff that may be given out during the parade.

I don't know about this, but I'm checking on it. Meanwhile, I've found the absolute best way to enjoy the parade is to get a room in the Hyatt that faces the street on a low floor. If you're already getting a room there you could try to arrange it and watch the parade from your balcony.

There is no reserved or special seating area for watching the parade. My gut feel is if he's on the street between 9 and 9:30, he should be able to secure a good vantage point.

There's a section in front of the Hyatt, between a couple of trees that is designated for wheelchair "parking" to watch the parade.

Yeah, what tertiumquid said!! I had to use it a few years ago because I had broken my feet right before con and was in a scooter.
