Don't know about times/days... I think it was a last-minute add since she was going to be in the area at the AJC Decatur Book Festival... her site says someone from D*C contacted her...
I have to admit to filling her in on D*C last year about this time, when she appeared in Jackson, MI at the library there... she hadn't seemed to know about it then...
Diana Gabaldon (http://www.dianagabaldon.com/) is the author of the Outlander series of novels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diana_Gabaldon#Outlander_Series), involving Scotsmen, time-traveling, and lots of swash-swash-buckle-buckle. :-)
Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, Voyager, Drums of Autumn, The Fiery Cross, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, and on 7/22 An Echo in the Bone. All started because she caught a Dr. Who episode where his companion de jour was Jamie with a cute Scottish accent, and likes MIKs (Men in Kilts).
"Diana Gabaldon is the New York Times best-selling author of the Outlander series, which tells the story of Jamie Fraser, a Scottish Highlander from the 18th century, and his time-traveling wife, Claire."
Dang - now I can't find my favorite quote, but I can paraphrase. The best writer of historical fiction romantic sci-fi fantasy medical time travel novels ever. That's why everyone has a hard time trying to explain the whole Outlander series.
When hubby told me last night around 12:30 am, I was so excited, I couldn't get to sleep until 2! Just wish the new novel was available in time for signing. Hopefully she'll come back to Denver this round.
