Paging someone local to D*C!

If someone local to the area would be so kind, can you please tell me:

• the state of the Marriott's tenth floor (e.g. is it still a wide open area accessible by all elevators, and would we still be able to go ther despite the other convention that was double-booked at the Marriott)
• if and how the courtyard/patio at the Hilton is accessible
• whether the fifth or sixth floor of the aforementioned Hilton is an open area great for group photoshoots ala the Marriott's tenth floor (heard a rumor to that effect last year, never checked to verify while I was at the con itself) and if so which of the two is it
• any and all good potential group photoshoot locations in the Sheraton or Hyatt

If you did, I'd appreciate it muchly.

Well, reports on the Marriott tenth floor and a discussion of the Hilton walkway (which is a bit off-topic), but nothing about the Hilton patio, the fifth/sixth floor of the Hilton, Hyatt group photoshoot locations, or Sheraton group photoshoot. If you (or anyone else who sees this and is able) would investigate those, again I'd really appreciate it.

10th floor is open to anyone as far as I know.

Marriott 10th floor is the same as last year. As far as I know, the only major change there is the new walkway to the Hilton. :)

Sorry, I didn't mean to the 10th floor specifically, but to the Marriott in general. I'm actually not sure which floor of the Marriott connects to the Hilton. :)

As I think we're in the Hilton again this year, I'll be making use of that bridge a lot to avoid the panhandlers, especially as I do a lot of stuff at night.

The Hilton Walkway is located two escalator rides down from the Marriott level where the Dragon*Con store is located. It goes across Courtland and enters the Hilton one floor up from the lobby. It's kind of hidden in the Marriott. Hopefully there will be sufficient signage and the pocket program map should list it too.

Marriott 10th is public space, but I believe that balcony will be the "official" smoking area, if I was told correctly. There may also be hotel service bars (the little mobile bars) setting up in that area this year.
