D*C Thriller Dance

Some folks out there have come up with the brilliant idea to get D*C into the Guinness Book for the largest group of folks doing the thriller dance all together at once. I don't think there's been a recent update from them but it would only take 243 people from what I understand and I'm sure this can be done. This is their facebook: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=94488259317 . If anyone knows more about this, I wanna  hear it! Especially with MJ passing, I'm sure the interest could be drummed up.

I envision this sought of starting spontaneously out from the crowd like a flash mop (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=je1KOcBYGjM); Is this how you envision it? or will it be in a ballroom?

Where and when will it be? How is it coordinated? How will everyone know to start at the same time? Will there be music?

Since we're attempting a world record with Guinness, it will be wherever D*C can put us so that at least 243 people fit. If D*C sponsors this, it will be an actual event, so it will be on the schedule.

Yes, there will be music :) Depending on the day IF they can help us attempt the record, we hope to have lessons and rehearsals, but everyone that wishes to participate needs to learn the steps at www.thrilltheworld.com/learn. There will be some edits to it, but this will be easier to pull of if everyone learns it on their own. It's really easy how they teach it, and actually a lot of fun to do.
