The official track description for the Dark Fantasy track is now up on the Dragon*Con website -

Horror, Urban Fantasy, and Gothic Entertainment converge on the Dark Fantasy track - Dragon*Con's home for all thing macabre, sinister, twisted, and downright weird. In 2009, the Dark Fantasy track is planning to bring you its best-ever programming in the fields of literature, film, television, art, music, and culture. From best-selling authors to acclaimed artists, visionary metaphysicians to cutting-edge musicians, "Hellboy" to...well, "Hellraiser," the Dark Fantasy track is sure to offer something to everyone with a taste for "the dark side."

It's short, but to the point. We made some modifications this year in an attempt to better define what the track is and what the track is not. We have the best line-up of authors I have ever seen at Dragon*Con, including some of my personal favorites. I'm also excited about Mike Mignola's presence, and Doug Bradley has always been THE actor guest that I wanted for the track. If you like horror or the darker fringes of fantasy, I hope you enjoy what we are working on this year.

Well, it's dark weird controversial. Could it have a home or be part of a category with dark fantasy?

Oh no, I wouldn't expect that. Sometimes I feel that although it's fun to parade in costume there isn't really a 'faction' for it. I'm not anime and I'm not really sci fi. I was just considering saying hello.

Repoooooo MAN!!!

Are you planning any Repo! The Genetic Opera panels or programming at all?

Groovy. There will at least be some Repo! Cosplay this year by a few folks. Those of us in the Whedon Track staff and volunteers will spend most of Saturday decked out. I'd love to help out if you need it!

Any panels on horror movies that have been (and are in the process of being) remade? It seems to be a popular trend in the genre lately.
Perhaps with the celebrities involved?

If it doesn't happen this year, it would be great to see within the next couple of years :)
