Marriott sold out?

I'm getting reports that the Marriott is sold out already. They've done everything correctly, identified themselves with Dragon*Con and are still being told this. Is it true? Is there still space in the Hyatt?

Sounds reasonable to me.

A couple of weeks ago I tried to reserve at the Marriott and was told that they didn't have any rooms available Sunday, but they offered me one Thurs-Sat.

So I'm in the Hyatt.

That is such a sweet userpicture lady_kathana! Three weeks ago when we reserved with the Mariott, they allready couldn't guarantee us two beds. So it sounds reasonable to me, too.

The Marriott may be sold out, but I wouldn't worry that much. Even with the guy who played Spike there were noncon people there. As it gets closer to the date, people will drop out.

Last I checked, the Hyatt had started accepting military discounted rooms.

What do you mean military discounted rooms? You mean non-con rooms, or an additional discount on top of con discount for military?

All rooms at the hotel are con rooms, techincally speaking. If you or somebody going to the con, chech out the governmental rate- however, the governmental rate has been raised from 130 a night to 300 a night.

Several weeks ago, my parents were setting up booking and tried to get a room in the Mariott for my husband and I... granted, I need a chair accessible room, I don't know if they checked for regular but I think that as well, and were told it's booked up.

We tried to get 2 double beds in the Hyatt, but seems only accessible ones left there were king, so, *shrug*

I just made a post with the Handy Dandy Reservations Navigator. It has the exact steps I use to get the same room every year. :-)

It works!
