I don't normally post, but I do check the board regularly. I noticed no one (I've seen so far) has mentioned Isaac. As a native of Georgia, I can tell you that we won't get the major brunt of the storm as a hurricane, but it will rain--HARD--in Atlanta come Thursday and maybe Friday as Isaac moves north. So please keep an eye out on the weather until the day of and pack your rain gear. Praying it won't rain too bad on Saturday. I so love the parade!

This has actually been talked about -- at length -- on the Facebook page. Friday-Sunday are pretty much only a 30-40% chance of rain, which means it might go the entire day without any rain. And if there IS rain, well, it's Georgia. It'll stop in 10 minutes, anyway. Thursday and Monday are a lot more likely, but we'll see how Isaac decides to go.

20% is nominal for the Atlanta metro area. Anything above 20% is a good chance of rain.

OH YAY!! The days I'm flying in and out! And for the bonus... I am shit-scared of flying, so the turbulence may have me needing this Ativan my snickering doctor prescribed to me! >.<

I'm terrified of flying, too, but thankfully, I'm local and only have to drive about 20 minutes.

I don't think we're going to get as much as originally forecast since Isaac kept moving further west.

Current (as of 4:55pm eastern 8/27) shows abotu 6.5inches of rain expected between now and 8pm on Saturday.
So you'll need the raincoats at some point, but not sure 'when'

The latest on Weather.com today says there is only a 20% chance of rain on Friday & Saturday. And 30% on Sunday.
I hope it does stay away from the con. I go to get comics books signed and do not have a room there.
I really want to keep my comics dry as well as things that I buy.
