I know I can not be the only CrossFitter going to DragonCon this year & not wanting to miss a workout, anyone looking to put on a WOD or find a box to workout at while at DragonCon?

OMG! I was planning to post this very thing today! I would be interested in writing a few road WODs to do in a hotel gym. I will be at the Marriott. I don't think I will have the time to devote to leaving to go to a box. Usually when I travel I work in treadmill sprints, squats, ab work, etc. depending on what equipment they have. I've been at Crossfit Boro (in Statesboro, GA for 5 months). Let me know if you want to try and meet up!

Totally not-related but I just won an 8-week CrossFit boot camp work out via a charity auction. I won't be able to use it until later this fall (I'm out of town every weekend in September and that doesn't gel with the gym's boot camp schedule) but I am MEGA excited. I'm a pretty regular gym-goer and I consider myself in good shape, but I'm excited to get myself beaten into a pulp and to really push myself beyond my limits. I love challenging work outs and definitely need a group setting to help motivate me. So what's a WOD? And should I be totally excited about CrossFit? Is this going to change my fitness life? Dragon*Con has all kinds love it!

A WOD is a workout of the day. I started crossfitting in a more serious way about a year ago, and I love it. I used to run and occasionally do bodyweight stuff, but I saw no real results. Now I have a single ab muscle (of which I am inordinately proud, no matter how lonely it looks), as well as a bunch more toning. More importantly, I'm stronger and I feel more competent in my body. I hope your bootcamp goes well!

Yes, me, pick me, I want to! I use this for putting together travel WODs: http://www.noexcusescrossfit.com/category/training-info/travel-wods/
I'd love to meet up with one or any of y'all.

I don't think I'll have time to go to a box either, but my box's website has a long list of vacation workouts. I'll probably fit in one or two while at the con. I started CrossFit about three weeks ago and I love it so far. I'm excited to see how I progress.

Yay! So my plan is to be at the Marriott gym at the following times. Friday 6am, Saturday 7am, Sunday 7am

Please feel free to come meet me! If you private message me we can share details - name, cell, etc. I'd love to pick an option off that road WOD list for each day!
