Patrick Stewart??

I hate to alarm anyone wanting to meet him this year, but I just found this browsing another con site. This con is the week before DragonCon. (I'm actually surprised how many guests there are from that con coming to DragonCon the following week).

Anyway, they say Patrick Stewart is filming a movie in August and had to cancel their con. It could mean he has to cancel DragonCon too. (Unless it is a very short role that only takes a week to film). Not that I planned to meet him with his high autograph prices. But I'd be shocked if he made DragonCon after reading this. Though, it would be nice to see a panel with him in an overflow room someday.

Nothing you can do, All guests are liable to not show up until they set foot in Atlanta. B-U-T... think about it. If he were going to cancel for that specific reason, he would have canceled both cons at the same time.

Maybe whatever movie he's shooting will make him unavailable for a Toronto convention, but he may not be extremely far away from Atlanta.

It case anyone's wondering, he hadn't cancelled DragonCon when I started this thread.
I know it sucks for people wanting to see him.
After the link I found, it was really only a matter of time.

I go for comic books and last year we lost half the big name artists the week before the con.
Thankfully, Artist Alley is having better luck this year.
