children's memberships

My son will be turning 7 while at the con, do I still need to purchase a membership for him? I thought the age cut off was 7 and under but it seems to have changed to under six this year.  He also looks way older than he is, should I bring some proof of age in case someone says I do need to get him a pass?  Has anyone else had this issue?

Since the website says, "Children under six years old are allowed into the convention for free," I would assume that a 6-and-turning-7 yr old will need a membership. He's not under six, he's over 6 and will be on to 7. You might get a different answer by using the contact form or from one of the powers that be who check through here, and I've no personal experience with kids at con, but that would be my understanding from the guidelines they've placed online.

So is he free for a few days of the Con, but you need a membership for the rest of it?

he is free this year he turns 7 on that monday the 3rd, we won't be there anyways for that day
