I've got a couple of costumes for sale.  One is Kimber from Jem and the Holograms, and the other is Jane Lane from MTV's Daria.  Both would be awesome to wear at Dragon*Con this year!

Kimber from Jem and the Holograms

I made this for Dragon*Con 2009 but never wore it, so this costume is brand new!  The costume would best fit women's sizes 6-14.  The shirt is a men's 42 though, so it's fairly free-sized.  The shoes are a US womens 8.

The costume includes the shirt, vest, pin-on brooch, tights, socks, shoes, and wig.

The shirt is a custom dyed men's dress shirt with designs stencil painted it with metallic magenta and teal fabric paint. The vest is handmade from a lavender rib-knit fabric. The flower brooch is made from sculpey around a large pink gem and has a pin attached to the back for clipping to the vest.
The tights are microfiber lilac tights from welovecolors.com, in a size medium/large. The socks are slouch socks dyed to match the shirt. The shoes are Joe Boxer high tops purchased and painted just for this costume, they're a size 8 in womens, US sizes.
The wig is a New Look Punky in red, mostly unstyled. A little teasing and a lot of hairspray is all it would take to make it nice and poofy, this style was meant for large 80's hair.
I apologize for the wrinkles in the pictures, I will iron the shirt and vest before sending.
Terms and such:
I'm asking $65 plus shipping and I accept Paypal, and shipping will be via USPS Priority with delivery confirmation and insurance (if desired).
I have perfect eBay feedback that I can show to interested parties, and that's where I'll be listing this if I don't get any interest here.
Jane Lane from MTV's Daria:

 more photos available upon request*

This costume was worn briefly once, and has been laundered since.  It will include the red jacket (women's size medium or 36-38" bust), black tank top with white v-neck (women's size small-medium), shorts (women's size 14 to appear baggy, worn with belt), opaque tights from welovecolors.com, and boots (women's size 9).  The wig isn't in the best shape, but I can wash it and include it at no extra cost if desired.

The jacket was store bought and altered, the shorts were hand dyed, and the boots were painted with Jacquard Neopaque textile paints to match (the paint will not chip or crack!).

Asking $45 plus shipping.  Shipping will be via USPS Priority, please contact me for a quote!

If interested in either costume, I can be quickly reached at Bahzi84@gmail.com

Thanks for looking!

Totally off-topic (as my ass is too large to fit either costume--both are seriously awesome!), but may I ask about painting boots? I just acquired a pair of black Anarchic combat boots from a friend, and as I already have an impressive army of black boots, I've been pondering things to do to them. My best idea so far is colorful duct tape, and I can already imagine 50 ways in which that would be a miserable failure. Painting would be way more awesome. Halp? Please? Just whenever you have time. Thanks in advance!

Not the OP, but I'd think you would spray the boots with white primer and then use some kind of paint-- OP used the good stuff but I've seen very nice acrylic painted boots.

Right on. I was wondering if it would be best to go the primer route, or to lightly sand them, or what. With acrylic, I'd be worried about eventual cracking, though if I painted them bronze or pewter, the cracked effect might look pretty cool. Thanks!

I've always had good luck with floral spray paint.

Oh man, I love those Daria costumes so much! Too bad I'm too big for it, haha. I just wanted to tell you that they look great-- the boots look like something you'd pay 50 bucks for in a store!

I'd also suggest doing an internet search for leather shoe paint. It comes in both bottles and as a spray paint (which I've used in the past for DragonCon boots when I needed a white pair). They also sell a leather cleaner that will take the factory sealer layer off of leather shoes so that the paint stay put.

Would you be willing to sell the boots on their own?
