For the last few years, I have volunteered to train "operators" for the elevators, and I can tell you THEN the hotels would be happy to coordinate with the con. I did this professionally for the huge America's Mart conventions, and I promise it would make the world of difference.
If DragonCon wants to expand, they HAVE to learn better crowd control, or the problems will implode the event.
