Should make for one interesting panel, assuming he shows up.

Wizards is the only Bakshi movie that I've liked enough to watch more than once, admittedly.

You beat me to it :)

Ralph Bakshi, director of the 1978 animated Lord of the Rings that is trashed and mocked and berated and wrongfully compared to modern technology.
That film got me into Tolkiens works after viewing it and being engrossed at age 10 when I rented it from the video store on VHS. I have truly lost track of the amount of times I have seen it. This will be quite something.

I am definitely excited to meet such a legendary animator! I can't wait to get a Lord of the Rings DVD signed. I also remember him from the Mighty Mouse Saturday morning cartoons and the movie Cool World! I've seen some of American Pop and Fire & Ice on YouTube. Definitely impressive.

I do see him listed with the Walk of Fame people. I wonder if there is a charge for him to sign a DVD like there is for other celebs? I'm not sure if I should look for DVDs before the con or wait and buy them from him if that is the case.

In case anyone here is wondering, Ralph Bakshi has a facebook profile. I think that work with him people hadle it. I asked about his autographing policies, since DragonCon has him listed with celebs that usually charge for autographs in the Walk of Fame. Ralph says that he won't charge to autograph DVDs or other items as long as someone doesn't bring a whole lot of them! He said that his son will be selling paintings of his work too.
