Hyatt Rooms

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you are looking for rooms at one of the host hotels that you may be in luck. Even though the DragonCon website says all rooms are sold out, I was able to get two rooms at the Hyatt for check-in Thursday and checkout Monday.

Unlike the Marriott, the Hyatt has always been good about reselling cancelled rooms at the con rate. Did you have to call the hotel directly or were you able to book online (and through the Hyatt site or passkey)?

When I booked the Hyatt in 2008, I called the hotel directly. They're pretty much aware of the fanbase and more than willing to find ways to get you a conrate room. I got my room really, really late - like July...and the reservation people were awesome.

I kind of wish I'd gone there instead of the Hilton, but that's life. I really like the Hyatt, though.

Just booked Thursday - Tuesday at conrate. Even got a double.

There was the deposit of course but at this point it's just worth it.
