Anybody else having issues communicating with Froggy's Photos?

I emailed them trying to get the status of my .jpg picture files that I paid for, but they have hot replied to my emails.

My comments where not directed towards you personally. I was trying to paint with a wide brush. I've seen many mention that Dragon*Con needs to get rid of Froggy's Photos, and allow for walk of fame table photos again.

Dragon*Con does not control who allows for photos at tables and who agrees to set up professional photo-ops with vendors offering them up. I agree with you, there is some sort of agreement/contract between guest & photographer.

I don't like the cattle-call that happens with the pro photo-ops, but I do enjoy the opportunity (if funds allow) for a chance to actually get a pic with my fav actors.

So I pay the $60 to get to wrap my arm around Kate Mulgrew's waist for 5 seconds and get photo proof that it happened. Or I refuse to pay $200 for a pic with Patrick Stewart, and just give him $60 to sign one of his head shot pics. I still get the 5 seconds with him, and I still have proof it happened. ;o)

Refund + PS

Got my jpeg refund today, so that's all done with.

BTW, I just noticed on the Froggy site that a photo op with Patrick Stewart is $100 at the Chiller Theatre Expo in NJ on Oct 30-Nov 1, 2009. I wonder if the lower price is because
- There weren't many takers at $200 at D*C
- Or because Chiller is mainly a horror con and they don't expect the mob of fans like at D*C so they don't have to charge as much to hold back the number of people who want a photo.
- Or because PS has a place in NYC and can go home at night and doesn't have expenses to cover.
- Or someone heard the backlash of $200 being unreasonable for a photo op and decided to lower the price and get some good will back.

I got three out of four jpegs, a refund for the missing one, and an apology about two hours ago.

I got my $30 refund tonight (near midnight my time), with a short message "Payment sent. I'm sorry, I have none of them."

Oh well, I at least DID get the hard copies, so I'm not unhappy.

Now that all that stuff is out of the way, I will scan these pix, then get them framed.

Possibly all 4 are the cause of the lower price. I'd pay $100 at lot faster than $200.

I didn't have any problems with the people at the tables, but the run-around trying to get my JPEG is ridiculous. I know they had problems Saturday night, but my picture was Sunday.

I got mine earlier today after having to describe what I was wearing in the picture.

Generally the contracts are between the photog and the studio, so the studio tells the celeb "no pics unless it's with our preferred vendor"
I would think that contacting Paramount about this mess would be better, as it would show that they need to step up who they contract with

I'm a bit late in answering here, but I was in the editing room on Sunday, getting my pic and I saw them editing stuff - they edited this guy's pic where his eyes were closed - they fixed so his eyes were open, using another pic of him. Looked really good :-)
