Just an FYI; got an email from the Hyatt today about the DragonCon stay.  According to the email, "Cancellations prior to July 1, 2011 will receive full refund of reservation deposit". 

I went ahead and called the Hyatt number given in the email (1-888-421-1442), and they said that the deposit is refunded if canceled at least 14 days in advance of the first day of the stay.

So, if you need to cancel a Hyatt room, you might want to do it soon or call Hyatt to make sure you also get that 14 day advance message.  If you want a room at the Hyatt, it's possible that there will be some available around July 1st as people cancel, but I'm not sure how you should go about getting a DragonCon room (you could try calling the number above, I guess - or call the Hyatt Regency Atlanta directly).

Also, last year I pretty easily converted a 4-day reservation to a 3-day reservation which a friend then took over; they charged him for everything and refunded my deposit (though I did have go to the front desk with him).

This year my group was fortunate to get one of the Crown Suites in the Hyatt for the weekend.  I've already started the countdown, but I can't seem to find any pics on the internet as to the floor plans of these rooms.  Does anyone have any pics of the inside/balcony areas from when they stayed there, perhaps?  

Thanks a lot for any help you can offer - less than two and half months!

 Hey everyone! So, I registered for D*C 2011 back in February-ish and had my lovely little postcard sitting in my bedroom where it would be hid away until that glorious day when I got to present it after standing in line since sometime in August...
Well, in those awful tornadoes that came through on April 27th, my house was destroyed. My confirmation postcard, being made of paper and all, was flown away to some distant land. I know this isn't exactly REQUIRED to register, but I know it helps move things along. 
I e-mailed Dragon*Con from their website 3 or so weeks ago and still haven't received a response. I was wondering if any of you fine people possibly had any advice or any way to directly contact a staff member that could help me out?
I appreciate it!!

Also, I'm sad that I won't be able to wear my Cloud Strife costume to D*C this year due to tornado crapness :(
