A fledgling filmmaker returns to his small, rural hometown to make a documentary about flowers and their significance at the major stages of human life: birth, death, marriage, etc. Hopelessly obsessed with capturing truth and reality, the filmmaker is none too pleased when a sudden, inexplicable zombie uprising turns 'reality' on its head.


Writer/director of the film, Patrick Franklin, will also be in attendance to answer questions following the movie. “Pushin’ Up Daisies” is set in Georgia and features footage from several small Georgia towns including Washington, Crawfordville and other surrounding communities.

Complimentary tickets to the film can be obtained by visiting the Rockledge Clubhouse at 2075 Powers Ferry Rd, Marietta, Ga. 30067 or you can RSVP to bholcombe@ceebraid.com. Free popcorn and beverages will be served at 6:30 p.m. - 30 minutes prior to the movie in the Rockledge party room directly across from the theater. The film starts promptly at 7 p.m. in the Rockledge Movie Theater.

Convention and Fandom Survey

Hello! I’m currently doing research on fandom and fan conventions for my doctoral dissertation in Cultural Anthropology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Specifically, I’m looking at the relationship between fandom participation and convention attendance and the ways that fan culture manifests online versus in-person.

Phase 1 of my research involves a survey of all kinds of adult fans (whether or not you currently attend fan conventions). I would like as many people to complete as possible so that I can gain a statistical overview of Fandom and preference for fan conventions. Custom fang maker at Con?

About 15 years ago (oi!) I had a custom set of fangs made from denture material (I think) & not only have I lost one of the uppers (I had a set of four made) but the remaing three are too yellowed for me to wear.

Does anyone know if there will be a fang maker at con this year? I need a new set and the plastic ones won't work for me unfortunately. Alternately, if anyone knows of a fang maker near Dallas, Tx that I can go to before the con that could work too!

I have the original very limited edition hardcover, Robotech Art 1, with Blue leather. Excellent condition and signed by the editors. Truthfully, I've never used ebay or even have experience shipping items or even paypal. I know this book came out in the late 80's and that a lot of anime fans may be on here.
