Military people, attend

Unfortunately, I've lost two of my panelists for my military sf panel on Sunday afternoon. I am looking for someone who is either active military or reserve preferably. The panel is focussing on the current state of the military and how it does or does not influence sf.

I would recommend asking John Ringo for suggestions on this - there is a "band" of military folks who seem to gravitate to him at D-con, most of whom would probably be at the panel anyways.

Never been to D*con: when is this Sunday afternoon of which you speak?

I am a retired staff sergeant as of 1 August 2006, with 24 years combined active and reserve service including Cold War-, Post-Cold War-Germany, and Operation Iraqi Freedom I service in Kuwait/Iraq during 2003-4.

Currently a Foreign Service Officer assigned as Consul, U.S. Embassy Belmopan, Belize.

I will be returning to the U.S. next Spring.

As it happens, she's looking for someone to speak this coming Sunday the 6th of September. Dragon*con happens every Labor Day weekend, from the Friday before through the Monday on which it's observed.

I know of a former Army Ranger thats coming to the con, he's in my World of Warcraft guild, and has been coming to d*c for a while. I'll talk with him to see if he is interested.
