Dragoncon planning - my 1st time

Is it ok to just post to this community with D*C stuff that isn't informational? just checking.... let me know

I've made a list of what costumes I want to make for summer/D*C and what I "need" to make and what I'd like if there was tons of time and money and energy. Now remember we have a HUGE con here in Minneapolis 4th of July weekend so some costumes i can have at that con and D*C and some costumes I will wait until CONvergence is over.

1st. new Wonder Woman with removable belt and stretch satin (fun!)due end of April for Super Hero events. - Bring to D*C
2nd. Black Canary Wedding outfit (Green Arrow -who is gay and a friend)and I are going to get "married" at CONvergence, like in the comic book. I'll have a Bachlorette party the night before, at the con! how fun! Then he will walk around with an arrow through the neck after the wedding 'Night"! LOL (could be mostly a store bought costume..) due July 4th- not bring to D*C
3rd. Conniette (the mascot for CONVergence, a robot-like costume 10 year anniversary!) due July 4th - not bring to D*C
4th Fembot from Austin Powers due Middle of June- not bring to D*C
5th Harley Quinn due 4th of July bring to D*C - I have a nice tall Joker friend to hang with! yay!
6th Barbarella Fur costume, w/tail!!!!! so excited!!! due August 15th BRING TO D*C
7th Lily the Faerie costume due August 15th bring to D*C
8th Barbarella, silver/black costume due August 15th bring to D*C

and planning to bring, that is already made:
Lolita Evey from V for Vendetta
Cleopatra - to wear around the 300 peeps!

so like, yeah, what are you planning?  I"m sure this is too many costumes and it is only March so some reality may hit me before it is time to leave/or construct! ha!

AS new 'celebrities' are added to specific genres, many fans and Directors [attempt to] create eye-catching posts indicating that (________________) has just signed up for D*C!

"Billy Bob Perkins Jones" is set for the Robot Trak! WE ALL know about her contributions blah blah..."

I hate to burst your bubble....

98% of attendees have no clue who many of these people are (There may be many people going that have never heard of Brent Spiner, for example).

PLEASE!

When you post your 'exciting' announcements, please add this wonderful thing called DETAILS: a bio, link or otherwise, and just what is it that got you to post that they (maybe;

you know how cancellations go

) are attending, and why this just wets your pants so that you are compelled to to post in 32 point fonts.

I do not expect everyone to know what "

Qapla'

" translates to, or who Keith R.A. DeCandidio is (kradical), so you should not expect everyone to have a clue regarding your fav genre.

Not that this has a lot to do with the con, but it's amusing anyhow.  Basically it's an interactive game that lets you adopt dragon eggs, nurture them to hatching (by introducing other folks to the site so they can visit your dragon) and breed the adults to get different colors. Click on the egg to help it hatch and to have a chance to get your own dragon.



Hopefully Anne McCaffrey's health will remain in good shape and she'll make it this year.  :)
