Want to stay at a Big 3 Hotel but lack the means to pay $450? Let's Talk.

Here is the plan: For $150 total ($50 a night, from Fri check in - Mon check out), you can bunk with 3 other people. Even a couple can 'get a free night' when bunking with another couple (or two individuals). I currently have 3 rooms at the Hilton and 3 rooms at the Hyatt. I will be at the con almost all the time and I live two blocks from the con (nuyah!)

Upside: get a con hotel room, save money, no need for a credit card, pay when you can (up to a few weeks before the con), use paypal, low deposit (50%), meet new and interesting people, have an arbiter (me) only a cell call away to handle roomie 'issues'. Shy? Get 3 of your friends to roomie for crowd 'control'.

Downside: Rooming with 'strangers' or, ugh, huMans. Hey, think of it as a galactic hostel! NO EXTRA amenities, such as room food service, wet bar or pay-per-view. If I have to pay for anything extra, such as services or damage, I will (and you sign a waiver agreeing) pursue collections to the fullest extent of the law. If you play really bad (like trash the room or threaten a roomie), I'll have you and your stuff removed from the room because it is not fair to your roomies, and it is my room, remember? You do not want an angry Klingon for a landlord! However, I do not anticipate problems, I only plan for them (grins).

Why do this? Certainly not for the money. It is to cover the cost of a 7th room for someone special. Also, there is a market for individuals who simply do not have enough funds. I have a credit card with the necessary limits to cover the reservations, and if I do not get anyone in a room, I can always release it 3 days before the con. Relatively low risk, moderate return.

Even if I do not sell enough slots (this is NOT looking like a problem, as I have posted this offer on the dragoncon blog on Live Journal) you are guaranteed your room and space. My honor is at stake. No one will feel cheated.

All rooms have double beds.
