Just wondering does the thursday night arriving crowd still meet in the Hyatt bar to say "Hi" or is it mostly private parties now? I remember some groups getting together the night before, but as times change so do people and traditions.

we are a go on the karaoke idea. I'm starting to look for music and get a list of what people want to hear and sing. I've already got a large list of the more popular songs I can think of, but if there is anything in particular that anyone wants to perform, let me know. I'll make more calls for songs as we get closer to con time, but I like to get a jump on things. and if you want something very specific just for you and don't want other people butchering it before you do (for that random person that needs to be the only one singing 'time of my life), let me know and I'll see what I can do.

oh, and if anyone has any direct knowledge about free use laws or knows someone that does, can you help me out? I've been kicking around the idea of filming the performances of those that will let me and passing out DVDs of said performances to help cover the costs of this and future parties, but my research has turned up only fuzzy information on this subject at best, and I don't want to get into trouble in the future. any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm sure anyone that would be interested in reliving this party via DVD would feel the same
