Does anyone from years ago remember Roxanna Martin? She was an excellent tomb raider look alike. We had become friends and were working on a film project there for a while. I believe last I heard she moved out to California....

Does anyone know how I can reach her or can at least tell her I'm looking for her. She'll remember me as Patrick from Nashville and the TV studio.

Ok ok.. so i turn my attention to Dragoncon... First one last year... had a blast (PRAISE SPOON!!) So.. now next year. So walking downtown atlanta was a bit of a drag.. (stayed at one of the smaller hotels... it was very nice.. but the WALKing to it at 5 in the morn was prolly not very smart) ANYhoo.... Im looking for someone to split room costs so i can move from "AAA" to the big leagues. Hyatt or Marriott... dont care... Im not totally insane... i havent beheaded anyone lately. SO.. im cool there. YES.. sorry.. i DO snore.. however... sleep seems to be optional at this event, so its more a place to put your stuff. As fer references to make sure im not a crazy psycho type persona... well.. [livejournal.com profile] dementia ,[livejournal.com profile] robio ,[livejournal.com profile] slyder , and [livejournal.com profile] ravien  can attest that i will not chop you up in the middle of the night.   No.. im more of the kind of person that will wait till your fully awake before i chop you up.

Anyway.. looking to get this taken care of in the next couple of months so i can turn attention to costume type things.

Bonus... if your from Dallas area... then, get with me especially, because looking into renting a car... for sole purpose of getting costumes back and forth.... getting them there on the train is a bit of a chore im told.

Ok i dont have there where yet but here are the dates:
March 6th and 7th
Please have two one minute monologues of contrasting nature prepared.
A chorus or a verse of a song, if not you shall be forced to sing happy birthday, so yo m ight want to have one ready! ;-)
If you have never worked with the Tn Ren Fest then you will need to bring a resume and a head shot (snap shots are accepted!)
*Please not that said resumes and photos will not be returned!

The festival runs every full weekend in May, as well as Memorial Day! It is located just off of highway 96 and 840 in Triune, Tennessee (halfway between Murfreesboro and Franklin) It is a fun show and a great stage for improv actors! They really want to push the street interaction this year. They do offer imrpov training as part of the rehearsal process, but the best way to learn is experience and participate!
I have not heard if the cast is paid this year or not, but last year was the first year as an acting cast we actually got paid with money and not t-shirts! Albiet $15 a day, but that came up to $150 for a show..not great..but better than nothing.

More details to come as I get them!
Email Ginger Muse if you want to keep more up to date, and tell her Crispy sent you! (gmuse@tpac.org)

Well, after two years of being tripped up by finances, this will be my first year of going to the big party called Dragon*Con. Hopefully I will be able to make it this year, because it always seems that I missed out on a great party for some stupid reasons.

This year, though, is THE year. I am making plans to go for the whole party, from Thursday evening to Monday afternoon. I would like to hook up with some people from western North Carolina and/or upstate South Carolina to go with, but if I gotta go by myself, then I'll do it.

As for costumes, I probably will not have one, unless I can get someone to make me either an EarthForce uniform or a Ranger uniform from Babylon 5, or the uniform that Derek Wildstar wore in the anime classic "Starblazers".

I hope to meet plenty of people there, as I will be hanging out in the American SF and British SF tracks, but hope to attend a myriad of events to get as full of an experience as possible.

Now if I can just find a place to pick up some Jolt Cola so I can stay up for the entire time... :D

A friend of mine just moved into Atlanta, and I was going to show him some of the nightlife and cool spots. Then I realized that I haven't hit the town in so long that I don't know where any of the cool clubs are. So I'm relying on you, my D*Con brethren. Help me figure out where to take him, what to wear to said places, and so forth. Primarily I want to find good places to meet new people and just hang out.

So, let's hear it. What're your recommendations?
