Finally - The Space and Science Tracks 2009 Schedules are UP

It's taken for absolute ever!! I can't believe myself that I've finally finished (well, except for a few tweaks here and there). What am I talking about?!

The Space and Science Tracks web site!! With - ready for it - the 2009 Dragon*Con Space Track Schedule & the 2009 Dragon*Con Science Track Schedule. (required disclaimer: these schedules may not be consider 'final' until approved by Dragon*Con and published in the pocket program.)

The site is new and hopefully improved. We'll be adding more 'news' as we move closer to Con.

Do you know how long the Mad Scientists Ball will last this year? My crew puts on the Dub Your own Hentai on Sunday night, and we were lucky enough to be able to go to the Mad Scientists Ball late LATE in the evening (like 2.00am) last year after our event was over, but I'm worried that it will not run as late this year. Any word on that?

We don't have a set time for the Ball to end; it goes until either everyone is gone, the coils explode or they shut us down. I think 2:00am is a safe bet that we'll still be going. We didn't close down until about 4:30am in 2008! With 'extra' entertainment (One-Eyed Doll and the Church of the SubGenius) ArcAttack won't have to 'push' the coils as hard and can allow them to cool off longer. That in turn will allow them to last longer.

Also, they're really shouldn't be any lines this year. The capacity of Regency VI & VII is over a 1000 people and even taking out the space for ArcAttack there will still be plenty of room.

*rolls around happily in the science track schedule*  I think I might end up learning more at D*Con than I did at the last few work-related seminars I attended.  I wonder if I can talk my boss into paying me educational hours for the con... =D
