Can I just throw this out there?
With all the celebrities we'd love to have come to Dragoncon, I'd love to have Les Stroud of Survivorman in 2009. (yes I know his show is over). He's not sci-fi or fantasy or whatever, but I loved the Mythbusters trio, and would love to see more people like that at Dcon.

I've been reading his book "Survive" and I think not only would he would be interesting in a "How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse" style panel, but seeing his band (which if you watch the show, you know he plays guitar and harmonica) at Dragoncon would also be a cool addition.

I'm only saying this because I have no idea how one would get in contact with him, or how Dragoncon gets their guests to come. (Anyone know how they get/contact their guests??) ;)
I'm not here to have a "Survivorman" vs. "Man vs. Wild" competition/discussion.
They are 2 differently-styled shows, I just happen to like his personality better.

I'm just saying, personally, I would love to meet him and/or see a panel with him present. Wish he's do another season of the show....

From what I understand, guests actually need to apply to come to D*C. If I were you, I'd check out his website and see if you can't send him a note about how you'd like him to attend!

If he were to show, I might even consider going once again.

Considering Peter Woodward came a few times during the run of "Conquest" on the History Channel, I don't see why Les Stroud couldn't be a viable candidate as a guest. Admittedly, "Conquest" may have been slightly more thematically relevant to the con, but I think using in reference to the Apocalypse track is equally valid.

Which raises another issue. Apparently, the Apocalypse Rising track--last time I checked--was still without a director.

Peter Woodward was Galen in the B5 spin off Crusade. Which is the reason he was a guest.

Kelly Brewer is the Apocalypse Rising Director.
