The board is green - all systems are go for the big "Battlestar Galactica" party this year, brought to you by THE COLONIAL FLEET !!!

A big thanks goes out to TPTB and American Sci-Fi Media for helping us make this a reality. We're a little late to the game, but we're coming in hot for a landing so MAKE A HOLE! You can find us at the SHERATON ATLANTA on Saturday night, skids up at 2200 HOURS. More information on the link below. If last year's event was any indication...this party will be hard to miss. I hear you. Should have a bit more luck this year with the bigger room. It was quite a nightmare trying to accomodate all of those folks last year, and I have to admit it was disappointing not being able to let everyone in. However, I honestly don't think D*C staff expected the turnout last year. It was something like 4:1 attendees to party space. We did the best we could given the circumstances. Anyway, onward to better things. :)

Actually, you look very familiar. LOL. I believe I'm okay on the audio and lighting front. There's another gentleman in TCF who's taking up that mantle and he's in the business of setting up equipment for large events like these. You may know him perhaps - Tim Sauerman (goes by "Miatuc")? His company has done a bunch of lighting work for Dragon*Con in the past. I'll be in touch if I need assistance. Appreciate it, man.

So would it be wise to stand in line to be able to get in? Or could one show up at 10 pm and be likely to be allowed in for the party? Or is that you should show up by 10 because otherwise the party will be filled up? Just wondering because this is my first Dragon Con and only my second time doing anything BSG like at a con so I wanna get involved. I won't be in costume but I'll definitely wanna take pictures of all those frakkers who are in costume (if people would be so obliged).

All I can say is get there early. The space we've been given is a decent size for a party room, but without having scouted the location myself yet, I honestly can't tell you how quickly it'll fill up. To give you a sense...last year, the line was already wrapped around the corner and up some escalators when we opened the doors. So if you can get there early, that'd be wise.

Gotcha. So showing up probably at least an hour early to stand in line would be a good idea. I always seem to meet the coolest folks in line so I don't have a problem with that. Thanks for the tip, are there any other BSG events I should know about? Or is this party pretty much the only one? Thanks!

Depends on how you define event. Our group tends to make an event of everything, whether it's drinking, partying, or having rousing rebel yells. If you see us running, try and catch up. ;)

In all seriousness, feel free to introduce yourself if you catch us over the weekend. You'll have no problem bumping into us. Follow the earth-shattering cries of "So say we all". The more the merrier.

The usual group of rabble rousers that I run around with at cons tend to make an event of everything that we do to, so I have no problem with spontaneous rabble rousing, running and screaming chants of So Say We All and Nothing But the Rain Sir! Sorry, I have no visibility into where the actors will be appearing. The track and panel schedule usually doesn't get released until 1-2 weeks before con. If I find anything out, I'll let you know.
